The comments are usually quite short which end with only one to two sentences. There are some people copying and modifying others’ comments from other posts to here so as to seek attention. ‘I am a dog and I find it defensive.’ There is a general pattern to this type of comment with ‘I am something and I find it something’. And here this person copies the joke but surprisingly the joke has brought him a lot of likes, becoming one of the top comments. This may result from the word ‘defensive’ he used which suits entirely the word ‘armor’ in the caption. |
If the whole sentence is interpreted in English, it is normal. But when ‘kinder’ is read in German, the text becomes a joke (German Discourse). As not everyone knows German language, joke is not easily understood by others and hence formed an isolation to those readers. This is called a linguistic discourse, which means that the adduced meaning is always beyond the sentence (Sharma, V. K., & Sharma, M. K., 2010, December 23). However, readers can always refer to the comment session and find out what it meant. |
